It’s time to dive in head first into the world of conspiracies and secret cabals but now we will do it through a card came that is meant to be pretty dark and humorous! Based off Illuminati: New World Order, an old card game from 1994, there is a new digital card game is being developed which is called Illuminati Confirmed where the goal is to take over the world!
In this new indie game, each player is in command of their own secret cabal, doing what they can to take control of the world. The goal of this game is to have an illuminati take over different groups such as NATO or the good ol Florida! Players will be able to use different plot cards to either hurt opponents, to help themselves, or to cause trouble. Sneaking around and being a total backstabber is encouraged in Illuminati Confirmed!
The base game will come with six different playable conspiracies and there will be more conspiracies added to the game in three different seasons of card updates. The six conspiracies & additional conspiracies are:
- Bavarian Illuminati
- Discordian Society
- Gnomes of Zurich
- Bermuda Triangle
- Servants of Cthulhu
- The Network
- Society of Assassins (addon)
- Adepts of Hermes (addon)
- U.F.O.s (addon)
The theme of each conspiracy can be read about on the creator’s kickstarter page here.
Illuminati Confirmed will be able to be played with 1 to 6 different people with crossplay between windows, android and apple devices. Players will have the opportunity to choose from 150 different cards to help them win. This game will be a power struggle. Each group card will have a rating between 0 and 5, and that number determines the card’s power and resistance. Your opponent’s card will have the same and you both play your respective cards and determine who is stronger.
One of the key features of this game is the use of alignments, which can turn the tide of the game in a pinch. There are in total 10 different alignments where four pairs are opposing and one is a special pair. Each matching alignment that attackers and targers have in common reduce the target’s resistance by 2 points. On the other side of this, every alignment that does not match raises the resistance by 2 points.
There are still many features being developed and also features we did not include into this article. Be sure to check out RadioFree.Net’s kickstarter page here and learn more about this interesting indie game. Also, take a moment to check out more developing indie games at indielodge.com!
